Lachesis one of the Three Fates Part of a set of four contemporary Portland Colossal Maidens, other ideas suggest they are the Four Seasons or possibly a representation of the significance of Marquess of Buckingham’s four sisters who all married men with both titles and either political or military careers all helping to keep the country strong. The four figures were cast from the garden scultpures at Easton Neston, originally at Stowe.
