Our Collection: Art
The majority of the paintings you will see at Stowe are portraits of family members dating back to the beginning of the 17th century, some of which are original to the house. There are also a number of paintings mounted on the ceilings, such as Valdre’s ‘Dance of Hours’, a large collection of copper-engraved prints, and a small number of other pieces including watercolours and miniatures.
