Our Collection: Books

The books you will see in the library today are Stowe School's, as the Marquess’ library was sold in 1849. However, we do hold a collection of 18th and 19th-century Stowe guidebooks, as well as published diaries of the 1st Duke, and bound catalogues from the 1834, 1848, 1849, 1921 and 1922 Stowe Sales.
