Exciting news! Stowe House is part of Vanbrugh300 – a major nationwide celebration of Sir John Vanbrugh’s life and architecture in 2026 following a six-figure grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund to The Georgian Group.
From exhibitions to talks and community events, we’ll be exploring how Vanbrugh’s bold and dramatic designs shaped English country houses and their landscapes.
We’re excited to work alongside five more of the architect’s most significant creations: Castle Howard, Blenheim Palace, Kimbolton Castle, National Trust Seaton Delaval Hall and Grimsthorpe Castle.
