A pair of mahogany library armchairs. The backs covered in tapestry (modern replacement of original still intact in part) with needlepoint emblem of wheatsheaf encircled by garter motto “honi soit qui mal y pense” and surmounted by a ducal coronet. The seats are similarly covered in tapestry with needlepoint ‘B’ surrounded by a wreath and ducal coronet. (Chairs photographed in the catalogue for the 1923 sale.) (MB ref HB08DS01)
