Bronze head of Oskar Kokoschka (1886 – 1980) who emigrated to London from Czechoslovakia in 1938 and was one of the leading Expressionist artists in Europe. David Wynne modelled his head at the sitter’s house in Villeneuve, France. A further model is in the Tate in London.
